The Situation
Arccspaces has been operating for over 15 years and has changed locations, contractors, and staffs many time. Most of the cabling in the premise has been spliced which has caused major network malfunction. Previous contractors also have mixed up the VLAN configuration which was a severe security flaw. After consulting with the management, an immediate major revamp was found not possible considering the tenants that has already been connected to the network.
The Solution
Upon appointment, TEKIE MY performed an IT Audit as per our SOP to identify recurring issues and available resources. Throughout our presence, we continued making small improvements towards resolving root causes and major failures. We managed to recoup over RM5,000 of missing assets by tracing back deployment records and serial numbers. Before handing over to Arccspace’s internal team, we managed to unravel the entire server room and retagging VLAN ports while managing existing customer’s network availability.
